Sliding Block Escape
Last updated: September 23, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Donkey Byte Sp. z o.o. (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Sliding Block Escape mobile application (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1) Who we are
Data Controller: Donkey Byte Sp. z o.o.
Contact: contact@donkeybytegames.com
2) What we collect
A. Information you provide
- Account sign-in details
- Google or Apple Sign-In: we receive a unique identifier and (if provided) your email address. Apple may provide your name once at first sign-in; we store only what’s needed to operate the App (e.g., your user ID and optionally email).
- Nickname
- You choose a display nickname (e.g., “Blondie23”) shown on leaderboards and in gameplay features.
We do not collect payment card numbers; in-app purchases are processed by Apple/Google.
B. Information collected automatically
- Identifiers
- A user ID we assign (e.g., Firebase UID).
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., IDFA on iOS—only if you opt in via App Tracking Transparency).
- Device info (model, OS version, app version).
- Usage data
- App interactions (screens viewed, taps, session duration) to improve gameplay and stability.
- Diagnostics
- Crash logs and performance metrics (e.g., launch time, hangs) to debug and improve the App.
- Push notification tokens
- Device tokens to deliver notifications you opt into.
- Approximate (coarse) location
- Analytics/ads partners may infer a general location (e.g., country/region) from IP for analytics, fraud prevention, and compliant ad delivery. We do not collect precise GPS location.
C. Gameplay content
- Scores, progress, and leaderboard entries
- Stored with your account ID or guest session so the App can function (leaderboards, progress sync, anti-fraud).
3) How we use your information
We use the data above to:
- Operate the App and its features (authentication, leaderboards, progress sync, notifications).
- Process in-app purchases (through Apple/Google; we receive purchase status, not payment details).
- Improve the App (analytics, crash diagnostics, performance).
- Security and fraud prevention (monitor abnormal activity, prevent abuse).
- Show ads (Unity Ads, ironSource LevelPlay and mediated networks; where required, we request consent and/or ATT opt-in).
- Communicate with you (e.g., service notices, support responses).
Legal bases (EEA/UK):
- Performance of a contract (to provide the App).
- Legitimate interests (analytics, fraud prevention, improvement).
- Consent (personalized ads, ATT/IDFA, optional notifications).
4) Third-party services we use
We integrate trusted providers to run the App:
- Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging)
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
- Unity Ads (advertising)
- ironSource / LevelPlay Mediation (ad mediation)
- Apple App Store / Google Play Billing (IAP)
- Flutter Local Notifications (local device notifications)
These providers may process data as our processors or independent controllers under their own terms. Where required, we request consent (e.g., ATT on iOS, ad consent prompts).
5) Advertising & Tracking
- On iOS, we ask for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) consent before accessing IDFA. If you decline, we do not access IDFA and ads should be contextual/non-personalized where supported.
- Ad partners may use device/usage data to deliver, cap, and measure ads, and to combat fraud. Some networks may infer coarse location from IP.
Your choices
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (per-app control).
- Reset ad identifier and limit ad tracking in device settings.
- Use in-app consent prompts/settings where available.
6) Push notifications
We use device tokens (APNs/FCM) to send notifications (e.g., feature updates, match/leaderboard notices). You can disable notifications in the App or device settings at any time.
7) In-app purchases
IAPs are processed by Apple or Google. We receive purchase status/receipts to unlock content; we do not receive your card or bank details.
8) Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child provided personal data, email contact@donkeybytegames.com to request deletion.
9) Data retention
- Account & gameplay data: kept while your account/guest profile is active and as needed for operation, security, legal obligations, and dispute resolution.
- Analytics & diagnostics: retained per provider defaults and only as needed to improve stability and performance.
- Push tokens: retained while notifications are enabled or until invalid.
We delete or de-identify data when it’s no longer needed.
10) Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share:
- With service providers who process data on our behalf (see Section 4).
- For legal reasons (to comply with law, lawful requests, or protect rights and safety).
- Business transfers (e.g., merger or acquisition); your data will remain protected by this Policy or a successor notice.
11) International transfers
Your data may be transferred and stored outside your country (e.g., EU→US). When we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms used by our providers.
12) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent (e.g., ad tracking) at any time—this doesn’t affect prior lawful processing.
- Portability (receive a copy of certain data).
To exercise these, email contact@donkeybytegames.com. We may need to verify your identity.
13) Managing your data
- Delete account & data: email contact@donkeybytegames.com (include your in-app ID and platform).
- Ads/tracking: manage via device settings (ATT on iOS) and in-app consent prompts.
- Notifications: disable in the App or device settings.
14) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; keep your device/software updated.
15) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in-app or on our website with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
