2 Platform-specific data practices
Math Explorers – Apple App Store version
- This version is a paid app.
- We do not collect personal data.
- The app does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking technologies.
- We do not collect names, emails, locations, photos, contacts, or messages.
- Only the minimal information processed by the Apple App Store (such as purchase history or optional crash reports handled by Apple itself) may apply under Apple’s privacy policies.
Math Explorers – Google Play Store version
- Advertising ID / Device ID – used by Unity Ads to show ads, limit ad frequency, and prevent fraud.
- Approximate location (country/region from IP address) – allows Unity Ads to comply with geo-regulations and select ad networks.
- Ad interactions (impressions and clicks) – required to measure ad performance and detect invalid traffic.
- Crash logs & diagnostics (stack traces, OS version, device model) – sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
We never collect names, emails, precise GPS location, photos, contacts, or messages.
3 Children’s privacy
- Apple App Store version: Designed for children. No ads, tracking, or data collection.
- Google Play Store version:
- Users under 13 worldwide, and 13–15 in the EEA/UK, receive contextual (non-personalised) ads only.
- Users 16+ (or 13+ outside the EEA/UK) can choose personalised ads in the first-run “Ad Preferences” dialog and update the choice later in Settings → Privacy & Ads.
- Purchasing the Remove Ads option disables all ads and stops sharing Advertising ID and location with Unity Ads.
4 Legal bases
- Apple App Store version: No personal data is collected.
- Google Play Store version:
- COPPA – children receive contextual ads only; no personal data is used.
- GDPR / UK GDPR – personalised ads are shown only with explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) – crash diagnostics processed to maintain service reliability.
5 Third-party partners (Google Play Store version only)
No other SDKs, analytics, or social plugins are included.
6 Your controls
- Apple App Store version – no data collection, nothing to configure.
- Google Play Store version:
- Change ad preference any time in Settings → Privacy & Ads.
- Remove ads by purchasing Remove Ads in Settings.
- Reset your Advertising ID at any time:
- Android – Settings → Privacy → Ads → “Delete advertising ID”
- iOS – Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (turn off)
- To request deletion of data processed by Unity Ads or Firebase Crashlytics, email contact@donkeybytegames.com with your Advertising ID (AD_ID or IDFA).
7 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect SDK changes, new features, or legal requirements.
